ID Generation

Generate a QR Code for Every Record, Automatically

New event registration comes in. A QR code containing the attendee ID saves to the record. Print badges, scan check-ins, track inventory. No design software needed.

Sound familiar?

Event Coordinator

You copy 200 attendee IDs into a QR generator website, download 200 images, then upload them back into Airtable. Every. Single. Event.

Warehouse Manager

New products need barcode labels. Your team manually creates them in a label maker, sometimes mistyping the SKU.

Office Administrator

You need QR codes on visitor badges that link to their check-in record. Right now someone makes them one at a time in Canva.

What it does

1

QR code generation

Create QR codes from any text, URL, or field value. Control size, error correction level, and format (PNG or SVG).

2

Barcode formats

Generate Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, UPC-A, and other standard barcode formats used in retail and logistics.

3

Dynamic content

Use field values as the code content. Combine record ID, URL prefix, and custom text with template syntax.

4

Auto-save to record

Generated codes save as image attachments on the same record. Use them in Airtable interfaces, reports, or print layouts.

How to set it up

1

Choose the source field

Select which field contains the data to encode: a URL, record ID, SKU, or any text value.

2

Pick the code type

Choose QR code or a barcode format (Code 128, EAN-13, etc.). Set the image size and format.

3

Configure the template

Build the encoded content using field tokens. Example: "https://check-in.example.com/{Record ID}" generates a unique URL per record.

4

Select the destination field

Pick an attachment field where the generated code image will be saved. It appears on the record within seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a logo in the center of the QR code?

Not currently. Use high error correction (H) if you plan to overlay a logo manually. The code will still scan.

What barcode format should I use?

Code 128 for most general purposes. EAN-13 or UPC-A if you're labeling retail products. Code 39 for industrial or warehouse use.

How fast are codes generated?

Within seconds of the form submission. By the time you open the record, the code attachment is already there.

Can I batch-generate codes for existing records?

Yes. Run the processor on existing records to generate codes for your entire inventory or attendee list.
